The privileged position of
San Vigilio di Marebbe helped to determine its fortune. The valley in which this splendid center lies is located at the entrance to the
Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, a famous protected area in South Tyrol. And the valley acts as a link between the Ladin territory, to which it belongs, and Val Pusteria, another pearl of South Tyrol. For our guests, this is an advantage, because they can
choose new and different destinations every day. Passing from the markets and shop windows of Brunico, to the restorative silences of
our Dolomites. Up to sorties in nearby
Alta Badia or even
Cortina D'Ampezzo.
For those coming by car, exit the Brenner motorway (A22) at the Bressanone junction. From there, take the Val Badia state road to Longega, where you will detour to the Marebbe valley. Those coming from the east can take the A27 and then the SS 51, passing through Cortina, the Falzarego Pass and Alta Badia. Anyone wishing to "forget" about the car, at least for the time of a holiday, can opt for high-speed trains to Bolzano, and then take a local train to San Lorenzo di Sebato, at the entrance to Val Badia. From there, taking advantage of the local transport buses will bring you at your destination.
